In this workshop, teachers participate in rich tasks and discuss how the dragon cards can be used in the classroom and their links with the New Zealand curriculum.

Workshop: Empowering all teachers to teach statistics
Would you like to teach statistics better?
Participants in this 2 hour workshop will increase their understanding of statistics, and feel empowered and enthused to teach it to their students. Dr Nic has experience teaching statistics to a wide range of people. Her videos are used by thousands of students around the world. The Dragonistics cards developed by StatsLC will be used in part of the workshop, but all ideas can be implemented without further purchase.

Workshop: Inference through the curriculum
Inference involves using evidence from data to draw conclusions and make predictions in a wider context. Part of the early statistics curriculum provides a foundation for more formal inference in NCEA.
